Description

As a Product Manager on our e-Commerce team, you will develop products/features for the commerce platform, enhance the shopping experience for customers, and help build the roadmap for some of the most exciting, fastest-growing categories within Minted’s business.
 
You will be passionate about delivering technology that can unleash the creative potential of independent designers/artists and bring those designs to life in a vibrant consumer marketplace as well as creating an amazing user experience that is both functional and elegant, in a style befitting Minted. This role is a great opportunity for a product manager with 3-5 years experience, who is passionate about e-commerce and wants to grow their career.

You will:

    • Develop core Minted e-commerce features and requirements.
    • Define hypotheses for new features, measure success against clearly defined goals and metrics.
    • Gather and distill requirements from Minted customers, merchandising, marketing, and elsewhere; translate these into a cohesive and actionable vision.
    • Write detailed functional specifications, prioritize features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules.
    • Integrate usability studies, user research, and market analysis into product requirements to ensure products satisfy customer needs.
    • Communicate effectively, the product roadmap and feature release schedules to stakeholders and senior leadership
    • Influence the eCommerce product roadmap and drive the execution of the roadmap
    • Manage product teams including running sprint planning, maintaining product specs and backlog, coordinating design, development and QA activities
    • Coordinate with other product managers and designers to ensure the cohesiveness of the overall user experience
    • Research product trends and identifies new product directions, features, and opportunities.

You are:

    • Comfortable taking personal ownership for a task as delegating it. You work hard to keep your team as productive as possible.
    • A good listener. You place the success of the company and product ahead of any particular idea.

You have:

    • 2 - 3 years experience shipping products and features for a consumer technology or e-Commerce company.
    • A Computer Science degree or equivalent programming experience.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on tradeoffs of different solutions, complex problems, various stakeholders, and many constraints.
    • Experience using data analytics (user testing, data analysis, and multivariate testing) to measure the performance of a solution.
    • Experience in working with technical details coding (including, but not limited to SQL/HTML/CSS/JS/PHP/Python). You could read a technical API document from third parties to identify opportunities.
    • An in-depth understanding of what makes a user experience good or bad, and strong intuition for what the Minted customer wants to do.
    • Strategic insight: You understand the industry and eCommerce best practices in depth, and can use your knowledge to predict consumer needs and the behavior of key players in order to build the best strategy for Minted.
    • Incredible attention to detail: You easily recognize aesthetic and functional details, and can make pragmatic decisions about what details are actually important.
    • Work ethic: You do what it takes to make a launch go well, which involves working with technical operations, product support, product marketing, merchandising, and
    • Writing ability: You could write final text for the UI, FAQs, marketing copy, or press releases. Your writing is pithy, clear, and in command of the Minted tone.
    • Six-sigma-like focus: You iterate on quality assurance and release processes until all pain points fade away.
