We are seeking a high-energy marketing professional who can balance strategic thinking with creative, tactical execution.  This position is responsible for day-to-day management of marketing operations, executing major marketing initiatives, delivering on marketing programs support, maintaining our database, and reporting key metrics & trends.   The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing Marketo, high attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work across a diverse set of personalities.  He/she has excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. He/she is a self-motivated individual who is always looking for opportunities to optimize processes.  Prior experience and a track record of success with marketing operations is critical.  This position reports into Qubole’s Business Operations team.    

What you'll be doing

    • Systems and Data Management:
    • Manage all aspects of Marketo including the design, development and maintenance of integrations with up/down stream systems.
    • Document and follow QA & test processes for all development and integration work.
    • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance.
    • Provision Marketo assets for use in campaigns (emails, landing pages, forms, etc.) and serve as technical support for post-launch campaign issues.
    • Execute a data quality program focused on completeness, compliance, standardization, email deliverability and de-duplication.
    • Develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.  Identify trends to help the business make more informed decisions.
    • Proactively identify and implement data improvements, enhancements, and system customizations that meet business requirements.
    • Perform platform maintenance and related administrative tasks.
    • Process and Automation:
    • Provide leadership in defining, mapping, and documenting key marketing processes.
    • Support Marketing and Demand Generation teams with process automation for programs (building email programs, tagging leads for sales follow-up, campaign-specific routing) and reporting on program performance (email engagement, new leads, pipeline and revenue generated/influenced).
    • Optimize lead scoring to ensure quality leads are passed to sales development for qualification and for increasing efficiencies and conversation rates.
    • Ensure that lead routing to sales, scoring and data appending processes in Marketo work properly.  
    • Provide campaign support for content, product marketing, and the sales/business development teams.  Note areas of improvement and optimization in the campaign follow-up process.
    • Develop repeatable business processes to enable marketing to self-serve in program execution.
    • Ensure campaign setup and processes are in line with overall platform architecture and lead flow/scoring programs.
    • Reporting and Analytics:
    • Manage the overall marketing analytics process to ensure marketing efforts are properly reported.
    • Build and maintain marketing dashboards and reports to provide visibility in marketing campaign results and measure campaign effectiveness, including metrics, opportunity stages, pipeline contribution, and MQLs.
    •  Identify trends in the data, own the marketing scorecard and analyze marketing performance data to provide recommendations to the marketing team to improve both online and offline campaigns.
    • Help manage budgets for the marketing team.  

Required experiences and skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, MBA a plus
    • At least 5 years of experience in an analytical/operations role, preferably in high tech
    • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities
    • Possess business acumen, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills
    • Be process-oriented with a successful track record of designing, implementing and measuring effective operational processes to support aggressive business growth
    • Be capable of translating data into meaningful analysis and insights
    • Have ability to see the big picture and focus on details when necessary
    • Be comfortable presenting to business stakeholders and driving value for the business
    • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Have extensive experience with Marketo and Salesforce.com
    • Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
    • Knowledge of SEO/SEM marketing is a plus
