About the team

The Uber Eats Creative and Brand team builds brand love and inspires action through thoughtful design, vibrant storytelling and delightful experiences. We are built like a small agency and are here both to uphold the brand and service the global marketing teams who need our support. We focus on all three of the Uber Eats audiences—Eaters, Delivery Partners, and Restaurant partners. We are based in San Francisco at Uber Headquarters but have a small team in NYC and creative’s all over the world.

 

About the Role

Our team focuses on creative initiatives for a three-sided marketplace: Eaters, Couriers, and Restaurant Partners. Our restaurant team has recently relocated and expanded in New York City, and we have a small, talented, and growing creative team based there. They have always had production support centrally from San Francisco but need closer contact. In this role, you will help support the creative process and bring ideas to life in all formats.

What You’ll Do

  • Support our creative team in based in NYC, which focuses on our restaurant partner and eater audience
  • Liaise with marketing, operations, logistics, and vendors to produce marketing
  • Manage a wide range of projects by quickly defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, budgets, and deliverables
  • Manage internal staff workflow and direct outside agencies or vendors in a variety of cross -disciplinary executions
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to shepherd projects through launch
  • Onboard and manage external production partners for webdev, photography, video, and print needs
  • Work among other exceptionally talented staff in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, highly collaborative environment
  • Build team camaraderie and apply best practices in cross-discipline knowledge sharing.
  • Shape and cultivate an environment where the work and the creatives flourish
  • Inspire the team in new ways to innovate for restaurant packaging, build communities for restaurant partners and figure out how you can bring the most business impact

 

What You’ll Need

  • 8-10 years of agency and in-house and a mix of production and project management experience, this is not a broadcast production role
  • A critical eye for good design, direction, writing, production force and other creative skills
  • Skilled at evaluating project scope, managing internal resources, managing vendors or contractors with associated budgets
  • Experience as a manager with a track record of growing a team, building trust, coaching, setting vision for success, and connecting across teams
  • Experience developing concepts and bringing them to life across channels
  • Comfort presenting to leadership
  • Good judgement, knowing when to be diplomatic and nurturing, and when to be assertive
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity to problem-solve creative new approaches
  • Experience producing video content and print pieces
  • Experience managing agencies for overflow projects including briefing, onboarding, etc.
  • Understanding of color space for print, print process, and press
  • Comfort juggling multiple projects at the same time
  • Optimism and excitement for your work, a love for the next big challenge, and a passion for making things a little better
