TPMs move fluidly from the big picture to details so that the team can deliver complex and strategic cross-functional projects, often with tight deadlines. What You’ll Do

  • Project manage complex and large scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives related to Data Center Build Out / Fitout , Network Expansion, Software Capabilities  / 3rd Party Tools to support on prem capacity and decomissions of data centers.
  • Interface with engineering managers and engineers to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources. Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders.
  • Proactively drive results by identifying communication gaps, managing escalations and providing support to teams.
  • Understand technical implementation at a high-level and propose technical alternatives when necessary. Ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be highly effective. Develop and exercise broad domain and technical knowledge within the different dimensions of computer networking.
  • Drive detailed technical problem solving for the cross functional teams and track progress against the plans.
  • Work with Key stakeholders to develop strategic initiatives and then work to evolve those initiative into detailed programs/ project plans (including roadmaps, funding planning, resource planning and hiring goals).
  • Continuously improve and scale the organization by capturing lessons learned, acting on them and communicating them out for new projects.
  • Develop and share program/project process frameworks, tools, and best practices that can be adopted throughout the organization. Mentor project management skills within our engineering leadership team.
  • Estimate sizing and budget management for various internal hardware products

 

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 delivering complex x-functional projects.   
  • Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical hardware, DC foundations and Network fundamentals.  
  • Experienced in project management. Familiar with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and able to apply them where best suited.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligence demonstrated through an ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.
  • Analytical and truth seeking. Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively.
