About the Role


This role reports to Uber’s Head of Strategic Initiatives, Accounting and is responsible for assisting in the project managing of all the internal preparation by the finance team and other business partners for IPO by supporting the development of the necessary processes and information gathering to enable a successful public offering. Additionally, this role will assist in managing the accounting and tax M&A integration and post close accounting management processes.  Further, will be an integral part of the project management of many other accounting specific projects as we continue to move towards establishing a scalable and efficient accounting team.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist in managing the company's internal IPO Readiness project and work with finance/other business partners in order to:
      • perform full scope of work
      • develop timelines with key stakeholders
      • serve as key coordinator / POC for the IPO readiness working group
      • execute on key deliverables required for a successful IPO filing
  • Assist in development of the processes, policies and procedures required by a public company
  • Help assess and drive required organizational / process changes in order to ensure accurate and timely quarterly filings
  • Coordination across Engineering, Internal Audit, Accounting, legal and Strategic Finance to ensure the right systems and controls are in place
  • Role will be closely aligned with senior members of both the Accounting and Strategic Finance functions at the Company


What You’ll Need

  • Qualified accountant with bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline
  • Successful IPO exposure and detailed understanding of what it takes to go and be public
  • CPA, Experience in a Big 4 firm highly desired
  • A minimum of 7 years or above working experience in accounting/advisory role
  • Strong project management and presentation experience
  • Detail minded, analytical, logical
  • Great communication skills
