Billing Specialist

  • Generate and review approximately 4,000 invoices/credits per month (including renewals, upgrades/downgrade, one-time fees, add-ons, reactivations, and non-automatic activations invoices). 
  • Data entry and verification; review bill runs for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information.
  • Successfully execute month-end closing processes including managing data between all system operations that have direct impact with Zuora (our billing system) and NetSuite (our accounting system). 
  • Work closely with customers, sales, customer service, account managers, and accountants to ensure that subscriptions are billed correctly and that we can recognize the revenue as intended.
  • Familiar with basic billing and accounting principles
  • Utilize various internal and external software programs as it relates to cash application and banking such as Zuora, NetSuite, CyberSource, Worldpay.
  • Generate and adjust invoices and credit notes
  • Respond to related inbound email and telephone inquiries from customers and internal personnel and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Escalated Customer Service billing overflow needs
  • Leading meetings and helping coordinate projects



  • Prior experience in AP or billing related activities
  • High attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and the ability to spot errors & exceptions
  • Comfortable working independently, with a sense of urgency, in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written, verbal, interactive and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, 10-key, & ability to type 60+ wpm
  • Zuora and subscription billing experience a huge plus
  • Familiar with basic billing and accounting principles
  • Prior experience conducting meetings 
  • Experience with coordinating projects
