Description

With 35,000+ instructors and 24M+ students in 190 countries, Udemy already has a large and rapidly growing footprint. This role will be a key catalyst for Udemy’s future growth by identifying new markets, and developing and executing plans to support successful expansion into those areas.
 
The Senior Manager will lead a team of three spanning business development, content acquisition and marketing, and will collaborate with various internal stakeholders including (but not limited to) Research, Product and Marketing.
 
The ideal candidate is someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated experience conceiving and developing growth initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create the strategy for new market expansion, working closely with Senior Leadership, Research, Product, and Marketing teams
    • Identify market, industry and technology trends and incorporate them into a comprehensive growth strategy that extends Udemy’s capabilities
    • Develop new market entry strategies including approaches for different industries, target audiences, products and lines of services
    • Define and oversee content acquisition plan, leveraging business development as applicable
    • Establish and oversee execution of the go-to-market plan, devising KPIs and managing marketing spend/budget
    • Build and nurture relationships with every Udemy team (Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to ensure alignment and support

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Highly strategic, with exceptional communication skills, and capable of building strong collaboration with internal cross-functional stakeholders as well as external partners
    • Strong analytical mindset, able to distill data to produce thoughtful insights and inform data-driven decisions
    • Demonstrated ability to excel in dynamic/changing environments
    • At least 7 years of relevant experience in strategic business planning, or strategy consulting experience
    • At least 3 years managing teams in a data-driven environment
    • MBA is a plus, as is relevant Consumer/Technology experience
    • A passion for online learning, and a desire create opportunities that will change lives through teaching and learning globally
