Your job is to make the Udemy prominent and compelling wherever people search the web to learn new skills. SEO and growth marketing experience with a strong user-success orientation is critical for this role.
We are looking for an experienced product leader to own our SEO strategy and execution of SEO initiatives to drive sustainable traffic and revenue growth for the demand side of our marketplace. SEO is one of our biggest student acquisition channels and we are looking for a Sr. Product Manager who will take our SEO traffic and revenue to the next level.  The role offers a huge opportunity to impact millions of students through large-scale SEO improvements and has a high visibility throughout the organization.
The person in this role will be working closely with other product managers and marketers to optimize our product content and pages, improve page load performance, drive technical optimizations, and improve the monetization of the SEO traffic.


    • Own Udemy’s organic search channels and strategy with a primary goal of growing new user acquisition
    • Define our search strategy, including: target channels, markets, keywords, pages, and how we’ll win
    • Work with the Marketing team to execute content marketing strategies that build domain & brand authority in our space; build systems to scale these efforts
    • Collaborate with our Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams to execute high impact on-site strategies (both defensive & offensive) and review major releases
    • Be our resident expert in all things search and make sure we are always one step ahead of the curve
    • Measure and analyze performance across channels


    • 4+ years of SEO experience at a fast-growing consumer internet company
    • 2+ years of Product Management experience at a fast-growing consumer internet company
    • You think about product development and SEO through the eyes of the customer
    • Incredibly strong problem solving abilities and solution-oriented mindset; when you run into a brick wall you can quickly come up with 10 different ways to run around it
    • Strong disposition for data-driven product development; ability to write SQL queries (or desire to learn - we can teach!)
    • Drive and persistence
    • Exceptional ability to work cross team and effectively communicate with Marketing, PR, Design, Product, and Engineering
    • Highly structured thinker
    • Clear, authoritative, and confident communicator able to bring people along at all levels of an organization
    • Ability to lead by influence and take the time to bring people along to get broad buy-in and support with your initiatives
    • Experience with web/mobile funnels + current marketing/analytics/CMS software
    • Strong intuition on content & messaging that will deepen relationships with customers
    • Deep passion for Udemy and our mission
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
