About the Role

 

As Product Manager for the Uber Eats Restaurant Experience team, you will lead our efforts to help restaurants optimize their operations as they manage, prepare, and hand off Uber Eats orders. Along the way, you’ll build product to make restaurants more efficiently manage their workflow, open accurate and reliable two-way communications between restaurants and Uber, and create a support system that can accommodate the many different users and needs within restaurants.

What you’ll do

  • Build software to help restaurant accept more orders, more quickly make food more accurately, and better set and adhere to preparation time estimates

  • Work with our operations and community operations teams to create a support product that enables restaurants to solve issues themselves, and connects them to the right person when they cannot

  • Work with our marketing and operations teams to create a communications platform that delivers the right message to the right person over the right channel

  • Determine where Eats should place its next big bets towards helping restaurants adapt their workflows to a world where delivery plays an increasing role in their business

 

What you’ll need

  • Minimum 4 years experience delivering successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them.

  • An orientation towards building businesses, not features. Experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of business performance metrics

  • Customer obsession. The ability to take on complex product challenges and find elegant, simplifying solutions to avoid making them our users and partner’s problems

  • Design sensibility. A deep understanding of and appreciation for good design and user experiences

  • Finger-tippiness with data. You find a way to get the data you need and whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage this data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis

  • A high bar across the board — from your own contributions, to the people you work with, to the products you work on

  • A true passion for Uber’s mission, our products, and the company’s hybrid technology/operations nature

  • A never-ending desire to grow and learn

 

Bonus points if

  • You’ve worked with or in restaurants before

  • You have experience solving problems through a combination of tech and ops
