You’ve seen some pretty crazy stuff happen to people at work and have a well developed “spidey-sense” to identify potential issues before they materialize into distractions, infractions, or subtractions. You’re an advocate, a coach, a role-model, and a wizard of time management who can see a better way and build the path to get there. This is a chance for an expert in people management to do the best work of their career.
 
We’ve created an exciting new role to lead a redesigned People team we’re calling Employee Experience. This new team includes 1 Director and 3 Business Partners who will embed within our functional units and become part of each functional management team. This team will serve the greater People function as the “quarterback” who ensures that all of our people processes, tools, programs, and systems add up to a highly engaging employment experience. Each of these team members will also design, build, and lead a people program or initiative on behalf of the whole team.
 
And best of all, we have a CEO mandate to make “people” one of our strategic differentiators as Minted continues to grow and expand as customer-centered multifaceted business.

You will:

    • Lead a team of 3 Employee Experience Business Partners to cover the entire company population of 350+ people across all business units and functions including operations, technology, brand, product, G&A, etc.
    • Be a close advisor to the Chief People Officer and serve on a People Leadership team with 2 other Directors (Org. Effectiveness and Talent Acquisition).
    • Shape and drive the talent and organization agenda that supports the business goals and priorities of our ‘client’ teams and leaders, aligning with our company talent strategy.
    • Partner with leaders at all levels to manage and motivate their team members and provide advice and guidance on diverse and challenging employee issues.
    • Provide HR expertise on topics including people management, career development, performance management, recognition, employee relations, company policies, etc.
    • Drive our HR operational excellence by providing guidance and expertise in program and process design (e.g. performance management, workforce planning, talent development, etc.) and managing program and process execution and rollout with your client groups.
    • Analyze employee data and trends to guide decision making and recommendations.
    • Champion and role model Minted’s culture, values & mission, finding ways to continually strengthen them in your client teams and at the company overall.

You are:

    • Well respected for your customer-centered, business savvy.
    • An expert in managing people.
    • Deeply trusted by employees and leaders at all levels for your counsel and judgment.
    • Strongly biased toward action and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and make good decisions in the absence of perfect information or ‘silver bullet’, obvious answers.
    • Always ready to “roll up your sleeves” with a smile to get things done.
    • Comfortable zooming from high-level strategy to detailed execution.
    • Energized by finding opportunities to improve processes through technology and design.
    • An excellent and influential communicator.
    • Knowledgeable in CA and US HR-related policies and law.

You have:

    • 10+ years as an HR Business Partner working directly with Directors and VPs.
    • Prior experience leading a team.
    • Experience working in fast paced, high growth, dynamic companies
    • Deep expertise in key HR areas including people management, performance management, compensation, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, people analytics, leadership development, employee relations.
    • Prior experience supporting Engineering organizations and leaders ideal but not required.
