What you'll be doing

    • Serve as a driver and advisor on a wide range of corporate initiatives at Qubole, including securities laws compliance, compliance & related policies, disclosure obligations, board & stockholder matters, committee formation, and management, etc. 
    • Review and advise on commercial contracts
    • Advise company leadership & cross-functional teams throughout the organization on complex legal issues & risks and guide to successful resolution
    • Shape and improve our legal processes that enable both legal and business functions to scale effectively
    • Assist other teams with projects on an as-needed basis, including reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements as bandwidth permits

Required experiences and skills

    • Degree from top-tier law school, member of the California bar in good standing
    • 6+ years of experience working at an established law firm, in-house experience is a plus
    • Rock solid foundation working on corporate matters at a top-notch law firm; bonus points for experience with compensation & benefits matters, including 409A & related accounting treatment, accounting & audit processes and/or cutting edge corporate governance issues
    • Working knowledge of commercial agreements and a genuine desire to pitch in while expanding your skills
    • Resourceful self-starter with excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
    • Adept at thinking creatively (and strategically!) on your feet; proven ability to manage complex workloads, multiple stakeholder demands and ever-shifting priorities all while instilling confidence
