The Workplace Specialist is a hands-on position on Casper’s People Team, working on varied tasks relating to the day-to-day management of our San Francisco office and contributing to the goal of delighting Casper employees and creating an atmosphere in which people thrive.

When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do

  • Own and deliver on an annual budget, as well as individual project line items; partnering with your manager and finance.
  • Act as the on-the-ground resource to lead office build-out projects in San Francisco — including the current expansion of our SF product lab. Daily office operations, maintaining high standards for office cleanliness and efficiency of the space
  • Work cross-functionally to balance competing priorities, think creatively to propose unique solutions, and communicate clearly and effectively to all stakeholders (partners include - Sr. Leaders, Dept or Team Leads, Finance, IT)
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including shipping and receiving, reception operations and coverage, supply ordering, and pantry stocking
  • Planning and execution of company events large and small
  • Maintain and update all safety programs in the product lab that meet or exceed all federal standards
  • Own and execute all facilities projects, including desk moves and office relocations
  • Serve as the main point of contact for building engineers, security, cleaning staff, and a variety of facilities vendors

Our dream candidate is...

  • 3-5 years facilities and customer service experience required, start-up experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance regulations and experience and maintaining building safety programs
  • Demonstrated success managing a budget ($1M+)
  • You have managed a large, fast-paced office in the past
  • Action-oriented and excited to step up to challenges
  • A team player who is also able to work autonomously and requires little oversight
  • Comfortable multitasking, prioritizing requests, and having a can-do attitude
  • Passionate about cultivating and exemplifying our developing company culture
  • Discrete with the ability to keep information confidential when required
  • An empathetic people person with a high EQ
  • Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting and being part of the fire safety team
  • Flexible to take on tasks as the role expands and changes
