About the Role


The Sr. Director, People Success will be a strategic partner who connects our newly-established office in Lehi, Utah to LendingClub's San Francisco headquarters. You will report directly to the Chief People Officer, and drive our Operations people strategy supporting employees at all levels. You will partner closely with our SVP, Operations locally to lead HR for Lehi and ensure continuity in LendingClub’s goals and values across geographies. This dynamic, fast-paced role will have responsibility for numerous HR generalist areas including advising and influencing leaders and employees on issues including retention and engagement, manager and team development, compensation planning, onboarding, training and development. The best candidates for this role will be deeply operational and know instinctively what policies, programs and systems will be necessary at the various growth stages for LendingClub.



What You'll Do

  • Drive the people strategy, organizational design, leadership development and change management to scale for growth
  • Translate the strategic company plans into HR operational plans and successfully implement them, including aligning LendingClub’s culture and values between new and existing locations
  • Lead recruiting, immigration matters, employee onboarding, compensation and benefits, employee development, engagement and retention, organizational design, policies and compliance, and performance locally
  • Develop, communicate and deliver HR plans across all local teams
  • Advise and influence all levels of leadership on performance management, organizational development and effectiveness, and management effectiveness
  • Provide coaching and leadership development to senior leaders
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees on performance-related issues, including development, performance improvement, and succession planning
  • Keep a pulse on employee trends (e.g., engagement, satisfaction, retention) and provide ongoing analysis to business leaders on organizational health
  • Assess and build talent pipelines and workforce plans
  • Use data heavily for HR reporting and metrics



About You


  • 10-15 years of human resources generalist experience in progressively responsible roles with deep expertise in a key area of HR
  • Experience establishing company presence and operations in a new location from the ground up
  • Proven ability to drive major initiatives through the organization and influence decision makers
  • Able to work successfully in a dynamic, rapidly-changing environment, preferably in a technology company or function
  • Prior success managing teams and projects, using resources/tools, establishing realistic plans, tracking progress and delivering against objectives and priorities on time and within budget
  • Reputation for integrity and dedicated work ethic with desire for ownership of process and product success
  • Strong influencer and collaborator
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, etc. which govern employment policies and practices
  • You understand our business and its challenges, as well as financials and market trends as they relate to the HR function
  • BA/BS degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Experience both in large and small companies preferred
