The Uber Trust & Safety organization is responsible for further developing, creating and constantly innovating on processes and products to ensure Uber continues to be a safe transportation option for riders and drivers. In addition, the team is responsible for ensuring that the public sentiment of safety is commensurate with how safe the Uber platform truly is. To help us craft this narrative, champion initiatives and execute on winning strategies, we’re looking for a standout person to join our global brand marketing team.

What You'll Do:

  • Own audience insights - Synthesize consumer insights and industry perspectives on key aspects of trust and safety; identify and prioritize safety needs of specific audience segments for trust and safety campaigns.
  • Craft program-level marketing strategy - Create compelling and creative marketing strategies that stretch across the full life-cycle of the brand experience (product, consumer experience, reputation) and marry consumer needs with expert safety insights.
  • Drive marketing development - Oversee the creation of safety materials, guiding the development of creative and engaging content that our consumers need and want.
  • Ensure consistent look and feel - Serve as a key promoter and consultant of the global trust and safety brand, applying and maintaining necessary consistency with global marketing materials and content. Evolve the trust and safety voice over time to keep pace with innovation.
  • Evangelize new ideas - Work with Product, PR and Policy teams to champion trust and safety marketing initiatives and partnerships. Lead effective conversations with cross-functional alignment to build support.
  • Own safety launches with go-to-market prowess - Build, optimize, and scale marketing strategies for program, process and product launches. Work closely with peers on Growth, Regional and Product Marketing teams to ensure seamless and impactful executions that meet joint goals.
  • Make a difference - Passion for creating empathetic, inspiring and innovative marketing for social impact causes

 

What You'll need:

 

  • At least 6 years of experience in consumer product or brand marketing, ideally with experience in safety, trust, security, crisis response or social impact marketing.
  • A demonstrated history of quickly, yet strategically, making an impact via tailored marketing approaches.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a desire to work hard and lead from the front.
  • Demonstrated experience launching successful brand marketing campaigns.
  • A demonstrated ability of using consumer insights to drive impactful consumer campaigns.
  • Excellent project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A passion for working cross-functionally in a highly collaborative and complex environment.
  • An awesome and optimistic attitude. We work hard, and have a blast doing it
