You love Database and Email Marketing.  When the send button is pressed, joy abounds! You are a sophisticated Marketer, with the curiosity and precision of a data-driven expert; tempered with design sensibilities. 
You will be responsible for the development and execution of the Customer Marketing email program and strategy (B2B). You will work in partnership with Customer Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Brand Marketing to set the vision for a world-class platform that enables segmented, dynamic, personalized and scalable email communications to our customers around the world. 
Success in this position will require ambition and initiative to meet targets and lift engagement across all Udemy for Business touch points. Most importantly; you will inspire people to improve their lives through learning! 

Here's what you'll be doing:

    • Devising an email marketing strategy that will deliver key business results (customer engagement) and provide an intuitive, automated, and healthy customer life-cycle.
    • Developing and optimizing segmentation strategies for trigger campaigns based on audience analysis, behaviors, campaign performance, etc. Oversee audience segmentation strategies based on insights collected across all channels (email, social, paid media, and customer data).
    • Building, optimizing, and troubleshooting responsive HTML email templates.
    • Establishing a QA process for email communications, including devices, browsers, and email clients to drive optimal deliverability. 
    • Partnering with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing Ops, and Brand Marketing to execute on an ambitious vision for the email platform, and set an aggressive yet realistic road-map to develop it.
    • Ensuring compliance with CAN-SPAM and GDPR regulations.
    • Keeping it fresh and boldly innovate - leveraging the newest industry best practices.

We’re excited about you because you have:

    • 5+ years of email marketing experience
    • HTML/CSS/SQL experience
    • Extensive experience in working with multiple email service providers including Responsys and Marketo with massive volume sending
    • A mix of experience working in large global corporation and start-ups
    • Analytically minded, comfortable manipulating, visualizing and interpreting data sets
    • Solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues, code solutions, and email best practices
    • Copywriting and editing experience
    • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
    • A passion for learning, developing and testing innovative email personalization techniques and formats.
    • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals
    • A passion for online education and consumer internet products
