Job Description

Turnitin is seeking a Renewal Specialist to join our Higher Ed Sales Team!

We are searching for people who demonstrate a passion for education and technology, are collaborative and entrepreneurial in spirit, have solid educational sales experience and who can contribute to our continuing success and growth. The Renewal Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of current customers, ensuring Higher Ed Institutional licenses or subscriptions are renewed. The Renewal Specialist engages as an advisor, and works closely with each School or department to ensure their success of renewing through regular calls and communication. You are also responsible for working with Turnitin’s Account Executives and Inside Sales team to align renewal expectations with the customer and Turnitin Sales Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure an excellent experience with Turnitin by proactively working with existing accounts to maintain adoption and usage of Turnitin products.

  • Manage renewals or subscriptions within existing accounts. · Communicate and collaborate effectively across all internal teams

  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging strategic customer contacts in scheduled health checks

  • Conduct needs assessment and license usage analysis for renewals to improve and expand the customer experience

  • Document account needs and feedback, and share with sales teams.

  • Ensure that accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts are provided to manager

  • Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of Turnitin specific systems (Salesforce, usage reports, Zoom, etc)

  • Follow established processes, procedures and use of support materials to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting each customer’s unique needs

  • Develop professional growth by reviewing trade publications, establishing and leveraging personal networks and participating in professional organizations and events

  • Demonstrate initiative to improve understanding of educational trends and legislation in territory


This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 1 - 3 yrs. experience in a quota-driven outbound subscription service role.
  • Demonstrable quality writing skills, excellent phone presence, and professional manner.
  • Verifiable history of renewal, subscriptions or billing with contractual experience..
  • Strong interpersonal, persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team or individually in a changing environment.
  • Clear understanding of the education industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce
