Position Summary:

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible growing and maintaining new and existing Sojern key hotel clients. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized, a good communicator with analytic skills, and an ability to collaborate across teams. They must also have strong presentation skills and an understanding of display advertising, audience targeting and big data applications. Prior experience in account management, ideally in the in key advertiser Online Travel, Hotel, or Entertainment related products and services industries will be an asset.  Experience working with key regional hotel brands and independent hotels a plus. This role requires a broad range of skills including, ability to interpret data, and managing across teams, and prioritizing and managing client expectations and deliverables. To succeed in this role, you must be results driven, resourceful, and able to manage multiple large global hotel chains and/or key accounts. As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work with major hotel and brand advertisers in the fast-paced, online travel-advertising environment. You will play a critical role within the company through hands-on management of advertiser campaigns while developing and maintaining our partner relationships.

 

The Role:

  • Work cross-functionally with Strategic Account team, Program Manager, AdOps, Marketing and Product teams to develop relevant advertising/marketing programs for key clients, prospects and their agencies.

  • Deliver persuasive presentations and stories that demonstrate the value of Sojern to key decision makers to drive sales.

  • Meet and exceed aggressive and growing sales targets on a semi-annual basis.

  • Work directly with client portfolio of properties and customer service managers to optimize their campaigns, communicate their needs internally and lead post-campaign analysis/review.

  • Partner closely with internal teams on day-to-day operational processes and larger, high-impact strategic improvements

  • Develop KPis, track metrics, and deliver quarterly business reviews to key clients to ensure campaigns are successfully launched and meet client’s goals

  • Analyze campaign performance data and provide optimization recommendations to ensure client satisfaction and renewal

 

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. (Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science and Math a plus)

  • Minimum of 2-3 years post-college work experience in Account Management, Online Advertising or experience working with large clients.

  • Exceptional written and oral  presentation skills

  • Strong analytical abilities that leverage our data-driven platform to produce successful campaigns

  • Ability to handle multiple clients & campaigns on any given day

  • Great time management and organizational skills

  • Willing to wear multiple hats and roll up your sleeves to get the job done

  • Willing to travel to visit external clients (15-20%)

  • Understanding of the online advertising industry

  • Great with people – ability to work with internal and external teams

  • Deep product understanding and operational expertise
