As we grow our business, we continue to look for people to help shape our international vision and drive strategic business decisions. As the Senior Market Manager, you will be responsible for understanding key growth drivers and providing actionable insights. You will analyse internal & external data, keep a pulse on competition, and interpret market trends to define the strategy from a supply and demand side perspective. You will be required to collaborate cross-functionally with a wide range of stakeholders to collectively grow our German business.

Here's what you'll be doing:

    • Define the winning strategy for Germany by developing a deep understanding of users, market and product, and how they impact our business to inform important decisions and priorities across the organisation. Be the domain expert on the German market
    • Know and navigate the competitive landscape in Germany. Stay on top of what is going in the market and keep an eye out for opportunities to partner or acquire other businesses
    • Identify step-change opportunities: Identify areas of outsized impact through quantitative analysis, industry benchmarks, and competitive research, taking an objective view. Create the business / investment cases for new initiatives and help leadership prioritise resourcing
    • Establish external partnerships with individuals, influencers, publishers, organizations, and corporate partners to acquire high-impact courses or drive new users to the marketplace
    • Work with the Udemy for Business (UFB) team to understand their needs in Germany and support their efforts to build a world-class experience for corporate customers
    • Lead through influencing: build consensus across cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes growing the German market.

We're excited about you because you:

      • Are fluent in German and English
      • Have 5+ years of relevant business analysis experience.
      • Ideally you have a mix of management consulting, business operations, and start-up or operating company experience.
      • Experience in working for the German market, ideally in a position where you had to advocate / represent Germany in a global company
      • Ability to work and influence cross-functionally is a must. You are proactive, effective at communicating with different audiences, and can bring different stakeholders on-board
      • Possess grit and find creative ways to get the job done. You bring high energy and the ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast paced environment
      • Strong analytical abilities and able to synthesize complex information.
      • You enjoy absorbing large amounts of data and qualitative insights and can quickly develop a strong narrative that leads to recommendations and builds our understanding of the business
      • Not afraid to roll your sleeves up when needed.
      • Comfortable using SQL (or be willing to learn).
      • Passion for online education and consumer internet products.

Nice to have:

    • MBA is a plus.
