ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced, talented, and highly motivated SEO Manager to join the SEO team and lead Udemy’s link building efforts. As the Marketing SEO Manager, you’ll be responsible for analyzing and improving Udemy’s pages ranking for relevant keywords, and establishing meaningful links to Udemy’s pages.  You will be reporting to the Senior Manager of SEO and working closely with Content Marketing, Product, and other internal teams to plan and execute SEO tactics to acquire backlinks. As part of your role you will be building (hiring) and managing a team of contractors to develop leads, relationships, and establish links to Udemy pages.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

    • Performing ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization while continuing to identify keywords to drive the most valuable traffic.
    • Analyzing links to Udemy and Udemy’s competitor pages, create lead lists of sites to reach out to
    • Maintaining Udemy backlinks quality (disavow low quality links, reestablish broken links, etc)
    • Developing outreach campaigns, establish high quality links and optimize funnel metrics
    • Hiring and managing contractors to scale link building efforts
    • Collaborating with SEO agencies
    • Identifying new content assets / landing pages that can drive backlinks to Udemy and collaborate with product and other internal teams to create, launch, and optimize new pages

We’re excited about you because you have:

    • 5+ years of leading SEO initiatives and strategies including experience in the execution of SEO recommendations with a proven track record of results
    • Expert with SEO techniques, including researching a topic area, identifying relevant keywords, and understanding audience intent
    • Experience with website traffic and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, Brightedge, Moz, SEMRush, etc. 
    • Demonstrated knowledge in analyzing and interpreting complex data using advanced Excel (SQL is a plus)
    • Experience with building lead lists and conducting outreach campaigns
    • Experience in providing reporting and insights to cross-functional partners and the leadership team around core SEO metrics, including ranking, traffic, CTR, CVR, etc.
    • Experience leading teams (remote) and collaborating with agencies
    • Superior relationship-building skills and ability deliver results working with cross-functional teams
    • Works effectively within tight deadlines
    • Bachelor’s degree required
