Job Description

As a part of our global expansion plans we are looking for someone who can help develop strategic partnerships through managing existing channel partners within North East Asia, not covered by direct sales channels, to provide Turnitin with sustainable market growth, sales and successful renewals.  


  • Develop country strategies which enable progressive market penetration in partnership with reseller agents in their areas of exclusivity, providing short, medium and long term plans for success.

  • Using the global Turnitin sales proposition, adapt and localise for maximum effectiveness with local customers and sales teams. Build and maintain local relationships to establish deep knowledge of local customers, systems and processes and use this insight to adapt or create new local strategies.

  • Propose and agree both forecasting of multi-annual revenue targets and the setting of annual revenue targets with reseller partners, communicating these internally and externally, ensuring targets are documented, signed off and approved at the appropriate level.

  • Manage and review the reseller partners’ sales operations, forecasts and results on a regular basis, working with them to establish a working knowledge of their operations, motivating and supporting them accordingly.

  • Support reseller partners with regular communications, insight, training and development in close alignment to that given to Turnitin direct sales force to help improve their ways of working, processes and procedures.

  • Working closely with partners to input where performance is not where you need it to be, suggesting action plans and strategies to address any areas of concern.

  • Present regular updates to the Regional Sales Director, and quarterly updates to Executive Team as required.



  • You will have 2-3+ years experience in a Sales Management role
  • Experience dealing with partner or resellers of products in international territories is preferable

  • You must be a strong negotiator with leadership and project management skills

  • Tenacious, confident, highly organised and personable

  • Regular travel to customers across region, potentially quarterly travel to US/Australia.

  • Fluent English (spoken, reading, writing) and either Japanese or Chinese required.

  • Can be located in Tokyo.
