About the Role

 

Uber is the largest platform for flexible earnings opportunity in the world. The primary reason for millions of driver partners on this platform is to earn. The Driver Experience Engineering team is looking for a Senior Engineer Manager who can lead mulitple key initiatives. 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical leadership to build, develop and scale the Driver Experience
  • Manage large engineering groups through leaders and managers.
  • Build the day-to-day experiences of driver and courier partners that power the Uber business
  • Build and maintain the foundations for the Driver app as a platform of innovation
  • Mentor other leaders and build a strong culture of quality
  • Manage conflicts well and help build consensus

 

What You’ll Need

  • Great leadership skills but also deeply technical -- this is a complex workspace. There is no need to code, but you'll need to have a strong understanding of technical architecture, system design, and problem solving acumen on complex technical challenges 
  • Looking for a full-stack Engineering Manager with experience leading multiple full stack product engineering teams
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience

 

Bonus Points If

  • Experience in growth and/or supply chain engineering
