About the Role


Uber is looking for an experienced Performance Marketer to lead, build, and grow the New Modalities (NeMo) Performance Marketing team which oversees bikes, scooters, transit, and other emerging modes within Uber. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to build a team and function from the ground up. Additionally, s/he will oversee acquisition marketing in a high-growth environment using a full marketing mix.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing data-driven media strategies and tactics that drive positive ROI for e-commerce or mobile app companies. S/He will think creatively and analytically, provide leadership to growing team, and work collaboratively across the organization. Additionally, this candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.

What You’ll Do


  • Work with Team Lead to implement paid marketing strategies and tactics to support growth of all products globally with focus in US and Canada; including acquisition of new customers and partnering with CRM team on retention and engagement
    • Drive weekly, monthly, quarterly optimization tactics that consistently improve each channels’ conversion and efficiencies
  • Manage a pipeline for innovation across marketing channels, promotional offers and messaging, using A/B and multivariate tests to test hypotheses
  • Partner with internal creative teams to develop integrated marketing messaging and creative execution
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics and AdTech teams on all campaign ad hoc analyses, which includes response tracking and campaign reporting
  • Work with AdOps to ensure proper tagging and tracking as been implemented
  • Work with Program Managers to drive creative pipeline for any creative and promotional assets, including: (a) creative approval process (b) encoding/traffic (c) legal approval
  • Manage overall acquisition budget; including implementing process for spend pacing and reporting to finance and other stakeholders
  • Present findings to Ops and Finance stakeholders
  • Embrace knowledge of all changing media marketplace conditions, consumer trends, research/measurement evolutions, ad tech, and provide expertise internally to keep organization in the know


What You’ll Need


  • 5+ years of buying and managing campaigns across SEM, Social, or Programmatic Display
  • Must have experience working in a highly matrixed environment at a national / multi-national company
  • Either in-house or agency experience is ok
  • Ability to synthesize data, make data-driven decisions and balance that with the ‘art’ of media strategy
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, ability to organize information in a high level way to communicate key points to partners
  • Self-motivated and strong collaborator
