We’re looking for a talented creative problem solver who is passionate about the intersection of learning and development, business and technology. With tens of millions of users and billions of learning interactions, Udemy is one of the world’s largest online education platforms, aiming to improve lives through learning.
As the Marketing SEO Intern, you’ll be responsible for analyzing and improving Udemy’s pages ranking for relevant keywords, and establishing meaningful links to Udemy’s pages.  You will be reporting to the SEO Manager and working closely with Content Marketing, Product, and other internal teams to plan content assets and execute SEO tactics to acquire backlinks.

You’ll be thinking big and small, and will help execute creative initiatives aimed at broadening our link profile, building enduring relationships, and promoting our business globally.
We’re on the search for someone passionate about SEO and digital marketing with outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems. You are analytical and have a strong attention to detail and the ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points. You are self motivated and feel comfortable working autonomously. You are able to foster strong relationships with partners and cross-functional teams. The right person is a hands-on go getter, who is scrappy and excels in high pace, goal oriented environments.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

    • Perform website and competitor analysis using various SEO tools
    • Research and analyze competitive, long-tail, and head terms as they relate to the business
    • Collaborate with content writers to support Content Marketing strategy
    • Perform outbound link building via influencers, thought leaders, and partners
    • Build long-term backlink relationships
    • Drive social media initiatives to expand brand awareness through followers, acquisition partners, and relationshipsProvide insights and observations through detailed reports leveraging key reporting metrics

We’re excited about you because you have:

    • Interested in a career in marketing and SEO
    • Basic working knowledge of SEO principles and strategies
    • Basic technical understanding of website architecture
    • Agility in workflow, ability to swap between tasks
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Strong desire to learn and execute high-touch SEO tactics
    • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
    • Experience in developing and executing link building strategies / building lead lists and conducting outreach campaigns a plus, but not required
    • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Brightedge is a plus
    • Functional experience with CSS, HTML, or Wordpress is a plus
    • Familiarity with email marketing tools a plus
