About the Role


We are currently seeking a Lead Firmware QA engineer to help test and verify our embedded systems in our new generation of electronics. Uber/JUMP Bikes seeks professionals who are passionate about making cities around the world a better place to live and bike, care about customer experience, and can help us continually improve our product.


We are looking for a person who is well versed in all aspects of assuring the quality of the FW in an electronics product. That means creating test cases, make sure they run, maintaining production line tests, advising on testing needs for new products, helping out with continuous integration, assist other parts of the JUMP hardware org with quality requests, create reports, and more. It's a very exciting time to join our team!

What You’ll Do
  • Provide expertise when it comes to testing tools, methodologies and reporting standards
  • Lead our testing efforts for FW
  • Design, develop and maintain embedded test software for bicycle electronics
  • Design, develop and maintain embedded test software for manufacturing
  • Interface with hardware design and development, and identify systems interactions that must be considered for testing
  • Design test specs for both existing electronics and electronics currently in development
  • Provide insight into appropriate testing methodologies, tools and harnesses
  • Quantify test results and specify quality metrics
  • Interview, hire and mentor more junior employees
  • This position may include some travel


What You’ll Need
  • 5 Minimum Years of Experience with Firmware Quality Assurance
