Position overview:
 
Automation is an important function in the development life cycle. It allows engineering to develop at a high velocity with high quality; providing immediate feedback to development teams; maintaining and ensuring a high level of code quality. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating our automated test suites in Data Lake product. The goal is to be as close to 100% fully automated as possible; however, there will be cases where automation is not possible and manual verification will be required. We also want to continually optimize our automated regression test suites as we introduce new features and functionalities into our products, making sure that execution is being done effectively and efficiently in under a few short hours.
 

Responsibilities

    • Develop Unit, Integration, API tests
    • Analyze existing tests coverage and perform code review
    • Improve tests execution pipelines within build and release process
    • Negotiate to avoid similar verifications on different application layers
    • Collaborate with other engineers, providing testing insights and coming up with innovative solutions to improve and ensure the quality of our product

Requirements

    • 3+ years of development in Java, python or golang
    • Knowledge of web and internet technologies
    • Understanding of OOP and SOLID software development principle
    • Use of jUnit, Mockito or other related frameworks
    • Understanding of CI
    • Good mood, ready to adapt and learn

Will be a plus:

    • Knowledge of RESTful web service design principles
    • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and reusable components
    • Knowledge of AWS services and/or Cloud-based methodologies
    • Knowledge of Jenkins
    • Experience with Linux/Unix preferred
