As Director of Strategic and Financial Planning you will work directly with senior management within the organization to identify, prioritize, and drive key strategic initiatives aimed at maximizing the value of the company. We are looking for someone who has experience transforming complex plans and ideas into clear strategy. Management consulting experience is definitely a plus.
Working in collaboration with the Qubole team, the role will encompass the following responsibilities:

(1) Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation

    • Uncover opportunities for profitable growth through assessment of customer, product, and geographic segments
    • Work closely with CFO and Finance group to drive the annual strategic planning process, identifying, prioritizing, and analyzing key growth options (organic and inorganic)
    • Evaluate growth options through strategic, financial and feasibility criteria
    • Translate strategic plans into specific resource requirements and performance milestones

(2) Performance Management

    • Support performance management of plans through periodic review of KPIs and related targets
    • Benchmark Qubole’s current and forecasted operational and financial performance relative to peers and other best-in-class technology companies
    • Identify issues critical to current and sustained success through periodic evaluation of Qubole’s participation and competitive position (e.g., gaps, potential competitive disruption, contingencies)
    • Help articulate company strategies to all relevant stakeholders through written and verbal communications in a polished and compelling manner
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of an executive-level performance dashboard
    • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities

(3) M&A Analysis and Execution

    • Translate the company’s growth objectives into a broad inorganic growth strategy
    • Execute a standardized process and analytical framework for evaluating potential acquisitions
    • Identify, screen, evaluate, and prioritize specific targets within the scope of strategic growth objectives
    • Support development of effective network of industry, investment banking and advisory firm senior executives aimed at increasing Qubole’s ability to identify opportunities at an early stage
    • Support negotiation and execution of confidentiality agreements, offer memoranda, purchase agreements, fairness letters, and other documentation associated with potential acquisitions
    • Lead due diligence activities, and coordinate activities of financial, legal and operational teams as well as outside advisors (as relevant)
    • Evaluate valuation and transaction structure
    • Prepare the financial and business case for review by Qubole’s management team and Board
    • Coordinate post-acquisition integration

(4) IPO preparation / execution

    • Support timeline to ensure Qubole’s IPO readiness – identify cross-functional timelines to ensure a smooth transition to a successful public company (e.g., reporting, risk management, capital structure)
    • Support ‘growth story’ content and positioning with investment community to underpin successful IPO of Qubole
    • Evaluate and stress-test operational and financial metrics for external use
    • Refine and maintaining Qubole’s investor positioning and communications
    • Aggregate, track and act on feedback from research analysts and institutional investors
    • Identify and track potential investor questions and concerns and develop a response or remediation plan as appropriate
    • Coordinate pre-IPO mock quarterly earnings announcements
    • Develop and maintain a “Street” case financial plan for use with analysts and bankers that establishes a pattern of exceeding expectations
    • Support draft of an S-1
    • Track and manage the flow of information to research analysts and bankers
