About the Role
Lending Club is looking to hire a Software Engineer to be a part of our Corporate Technology Engineering team. We’re looking for a talented Engineer interested in building new applications from the ground up and who will join a growing team in developing, integrating and implementing applications and systems to enable Corporate business processes and users. You'll use your technical skills and proficiency in Java to contribute code, perform unit and functional testing, ensure delivery of high quality code, clearly document the work done for future reference, and support operations. Experience with developing and maintaining software services using Agile/Scrum methodologies is a huge plus.
What You'll Do
Participate in development activities as a scrum team member
Carry out functional QA testing of Sprint tasks
Document the work done for future reference and keep it updated
Focus on code coverage and work with the team to improve the test cases to maximize it
Support the existing services running in production
Work towards automating the testing of existing and new services being developed by the team
Good understanding of OOPs concepts
Hands on development experience with Java (version 8 and above preferred)
Should have strong database skills (SQL, MySQL, ORACLE)
Prior experience with Agile development methodology, test-driven development, source code management (GIT Hub) and automated testing is desired.
Experienced with building Microservices and APIs using Spring Boot, REST and SOAP
Comfortable writing unit and integration test cases using Junit, TestNG
Prior experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins is desired.
Comfortable using Agile project management tools like JIRA, Confluence
Has 5+ years of software development and testing experience
Comfortable working in UNIX/LINUX development environment.
Must have good communication skills, be a team player and a self-starter.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field of study
