About the role:
The Operations Learning & Development (L&D) Manager will support the Operations organization at Grove Collaborative by designing, developing, and continuously improving training materials for our fulfillment center associates and coordinators.  This role will be critical to ensure that our associates are prepared for success in their role which is critical to the customer experience.
Your Impact/responsibilities:
This role should reside in the Company’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco and report to the VP of Operations Strategy.  The L&D Manager will need to travel to our fulfillment centers across the country to train, assess, and continuously develop the learning journey for our Operations staff.
Grove’s Operations organization will be maniacal about improving the customer experience and optimizing costs and this role will be critical in ensuring we achieve these goals.  Your day-to-day work will vary, but responsibilities will likely include:
Collaborating with Operations leadership, fulfillment center management, and subject matter experts, to design specific skills development and training for Grove’s Operations staff.
You will develop facilitator guides, new hire training, job aids, potentially e-learning, and evaluation strategies.
Identify learning and performance objectives and evaluate quantitative and qualitative aspects of learning programs.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be creative and dynamic in their knowledge of designing instructor-led training and continuously strive for excellence and improvement.  He/she will have a demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, curriculum mapping, and technology-enabled learning platforms.
The successful candidate must display initiative in anticipating and exceeding the business demands of Operations leadership.  You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.  
Grove is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure.  Candidate must be motivated, disciplined, and be disciplined to work effectively autonomously.
5+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering learning using multiple mediaUnderstanding of instructional design methodologies, tools, and techniques
Excellent organizational and project management skills, specifically, the ability to raise issues in a timely manner, meet deadlines and manage production schedules, and pay attention to detail
Experience working with and training hourly employees required
Experience incorporating and continuously improving a train-the-trainer model is a plus
Working knowledge of learning management systems and how we can leverage to improve the L&D experience at Grove
Advanced verbal communication, initiative, and solid judgment abilities/skills
Creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills
The ability to express ideas visually, verbally, and in writing with an eye for details
Must be willing to travel to fulfillment centers and expect to get your hands dirty working side by side with management and hourly employees
Bi-lingual (in particular Spanish) a plus
