Description

Minted has a unique approach to merchandising: all of our designs are crowdsourced from a community of independent artists and voted on by consumers.  The Merchandise Operations Manager will report to the Director of Merchandising Operations and oversee a small (2-3 people) team of associates and specialists.  They will manage the creation and execution of productivity reports for our SF team and offshore partner and manage our end-to-end crowdsourcing model from the initial design competition phase to the selection and launch of product to our site.  Finally and strategically, they will also be a key partner in providing activity-based costing in order to reflect P&L by vertical/product category.

You will:

    • Manage our on-site design competitions from annual development of competition roadmap to on-site execution and voting. Serve as the gatekeeper for our core crowdsourcing process.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams in support of product and assortment launches to meet the company’s strategic and financial goals.  
    • In conjunction with merchandising, develop both an overall annual product and assortment launch calendar as well as a detailed project timeline for each product launch, setting deadlines and deliverables for each step in the process. Create and manage the execution of the annual assortment roadmap, from design challenge to on site, to deliver on-time launches and support the brand’s marketing plans.
    • Assess seasonality of challenges and launches to maximize quality of designs, artist engagement and increased synchronicity between consumer behavior and newness on site.
    • Create and manage new productivity tools and reports.
    • Manage launch cost reports and provide periodic deep-dives into trends.
    • Support Artist Relations, Merchandising Operations and Merchandising in identifying dependencies or bottlenecks in the process and recommend solutions.
    • Share product and assortment launch deadlines and deliverables broadly across the organization to ensure other relevant functions align their priorities, workload and deliverables in support of executing against the annual assortment roadmap.

You are:

    • Excellent with activity coordination and have great skills managing complex cross-functional work processes and activities with many stakeholders.
    • A self-starter with an ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment and meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects. Able to multitask and meet deadlines while still paying attention to details and executing flawlessly.
    • Extremely detailed- and process-oriented and deadline driven.
    • Comfortable with uncertainty and with building processes and reports from scratch where none exist today.
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and project manage through changing deadlines.

You have:

    • 2+ years solid quantitative and analytical skills used in reviewing large data, creating analytic reports and executive summaries.
    • 3-5 years Excel expertise which includes modeling and pivot tables.
    • 3-5 years Project management experience with emphasis in scheduling multiple projects, managing timelines, deadlines and budgets.
    • 2-3 years in Product development pipelines and processes or production management processes in a retail or similar type environment preferred.
    • Experience managing and developing a team of 3+ employees.
    • Demonstrated interest in art, design.
    • A background in retail is a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Bachelor’s Degree.
