Minted is seeking a Director of Business Operations, New Markets to spearhead new growth projects in a number of exciting business areas. Examples include the creation of experimental retail concepts in new physical Minted stores and leading Minted’s first foray into international markets. The role combines strategic planning and thinking with on-the-ground execution. The Director of Business Operations, New Markets will be responsible for developing business plans and strategies for new growth areas, then working cross-functionally with Minted’s different departments in order to roll out those new businesses successfully. This is a highly visible role that will work directly with the Founder & CEO and require building relationships with the full senior management team at Minted.

You will:

    • Evaluate new business ideas, size potential opportunities, and work with Minted’s senior management team to prioritize and allocate resources.
    • Coordinate with team members across all Minted functions to successfully launch new business opportunities.
    • Perform primary and secondary market research, including consumer surveys, to inform development of new businesses.
    • Develop the company’s physical retail strategies and new retail concepts in partnership with the Founder & CEO.
    • Help manage the launch of several Minted retail stores in your first year.
    • Develop and evaluate physical retail tests and use the results to inform further expansion of Minted’s retail presence.
    • Evaluate Minted’s international opportunity in different markets.
    • Identify how international consumer preferences differ from US preferences in order to inform Minted’s product and expansion strategy.
    • Support key scaling efforts throughout the organization.
    • Drive communication strategies around new businesses and growth opportunities within the company.
    • Work with CEO and cross-functional teams to develop organizational and functional structure and systems to support launch of new business.
    • Assist with other strategic projects and overall business planning.

You are:

You have:

    • A Master's in Business Administration from a leading school.
    • 2-3+ years work experience post-business school.
    • Previous experience in management consulting and/or investment banking important.
    • Familiarity with consumer business models (retail, consumer packaged goods, e-commerce, etc.) important.
    • Cross-functional project and team leadership experience, and can lead highly complex projects with a wide variety of functional leaders.
    • Exceptional business judgment with the ability to create sound frameworks to drive to key decision-making.
    • Consumer intuition with the ability to put yourself in the consumer’s shoes and understand consumer psychology; ability to read between the lines of both quantitative and qualitative research.
    • A core analytical skill set: strong quantitative and analytical chops.
