We’re looking for a highly motivated and creative problem solver to join our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Strategy team. Our team's mission is to create the best user experience via Udemy’s owned marketing channels, drive growth and engagement through promotions, and to deliver results in an efficient and sustainable manner.
Reporting to Manager, CRM Strategy, you’ll be responsible for deeply understanding students’ needs and pain points, building and operating campaigns, conducting marketing experiments, and assisting development of lifecycle programs to improve customer retention and loyalty.
As a member of our cross-functional CRM marketing team, you have a strong attention to detail, operational intuition, and bias towards execution. You also have a customer-first approach with deep empathy and curiosity for users’ needs, motivations, obstacles, and barriers in order to build personalized customer journeys with Email and Marketing Channel partners, Product, Brand, and Data Science.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

    • Using Udemy’s tools, build and launch promotional campaigns to student customers
    • Creating and utilizing QA process for ensuring campaigns launch on time, without error
    • Collaborating with Product team to improve Udemy’s deals engine, enabling more sophisticated campaign targeting
    • Partnering with brand and product marketing teams to develop and execute in-product messaging via lifecycle and promotional campaigns
    • Building upon existing customer segmentation to find meaningful points in the customer journey
    • Creating and optimizing CRM strategies to thoughtfully connect students to valuable products, features, or lifecycle moments
    • Measuring, analyzing, and optimizing onsite campaigns and lifecycle programs
    • Partnering with Data Science team to conduct marketing experiments on an ongoing basis
    • Working with Product, Engineering, Brand, and Data Science to assist in improving marketing sophistication through automation and personalization

We’re excited about you because you have:

    • 2 years work experience in marketing, product, or operations
    • Demonstrated ability to independently execute a detail-oriented process, including QA, identifying and troubleshooting issues, etc..
    • Experience with A/B and Multivariate test design and implementation a plus; desire to learn essential
    • Creative problem-solving skills to anticipate, troubleshoot, and find effective solutions
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills
    • Strong drive to work cross-functionally
    • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects while meeting key priorities and tight deadlines
    • Experience with CRM systems, ESPs (Email Service Providers), and Push Notification systems a plus
    • Experience with SQL a plus
    • International/localization experience a plus
