Turnitin is seeking an Account Executive to expand our services to school districts in the Mountain/Central region! Summary:

The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and acquiring new school districts in the Mountain/Central region with district enrollments over 3000 students.  Acting in a consultative capacity, the Account Executive is responsible for building relationships in medium/large school districts that result in the sale of Turnitin’s Feedback Studio. The Account Executive will work out of our Oakland office reporting to our Senior Manager of Regional Sales for the west.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business growth through the acquisition of medium/large and strategic accounts.
  • Expand the number of students using Turnitin products within medium/large and strategic accounts.
  • Actively prospect through multiple platforms (email campaigns, phone, etc.), develop and close opportunities for Turnitin’s products and services.

  • Build strategic relationships with decision makers in target districts.

  • Develop and qualify leads, and build a robust reliable pipeline of opportunities

  • Manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.

  • Stay current and informed on federal, state and local funding sources.

  • Schedule and conduct primarily virtual meetings and presentations with district administrators and key decision-makers.

  • Successfully create and manage a high volume pipeline.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience working in education or education technology (edTech) required.

  • Proven track record of creating, managing and closing a high volume pipeline within a shorter sales cycle.

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and recognized success in negotiating and closing new business.

  • Understanding of federal, state and district level K-12 writing initiatives and standards,  

  • Experience and success using a value-based, consultative sales approach.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including Superintendent, CAO, CIO and Director level.

  • Ability to travel as needed to company sponsored events and strategic accounts.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Salesforce.

  • Experience with Groove a plus.

  • Strong Microsoft Office and G Suite skills

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Education and Experience:

    • Minimum bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field required.

    • 2-5 years related sales experience.
