About the Role

 

Uber for Business is developing Uber's next set of businesses by building on Uber as a Platform. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business development for Uber’s Guest and Customer transportation business (e.g. Uber Central). You will source and execute deals, lead partnership execution, and articulate how our business model evolves with these new strategic initiatives.

 

This is a unique opportunity to be a senior member of the Uber for Business organization. We're looking for a motivated self-starter who thrives in a team environment and is excited to create a new business within Uber. You've excelled in complex deal-making, led large product and sales integrations, and have a strong history of executive relationship-building.

What You'll Do

  • Source, structure, negotiate, execute, and implement strategic deals in support of a business thesis or business model
  • Evaluate strategic partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Work with both internal and external product, sales, operations, and marketing teams to drive to successful partnership outcomes
  • Develop deep relationships with key partners that fit into our go-to-market master plan
  • Understand business model implications and communicate in a financially grounded way

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in business development and/or consulting
  • Minimum 4 years of internal stakeholder management with demonstrated excellence working with product management and marketing
  • Proven record of creating and executing on partnerships and negotiating deals
  • Resourcefulness and passion for our mission
  • Thorough understanding of a variety of business models (we're still proving ours)
  • An extremely proactive, self-starter mentality with excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying partner needs
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Passion for the on-demand space

Bonus Points

  • Experience in a high-growth technology company
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at an investment bank or management consulting company
  • MBA is preferred
