You'll be in integral part of Udemy’s CRM & Promotional Strategy team, utilizing the skills and experiences you've gained in your MBA program to drive high-impact projects that support the company’s mission. Over the course of the summer, you will lead and collaborate on high-impact projects within the Marketing Organization. You will have the opportunity to work directly with marketing leadership, as well as cross-functional partners, to champion, develop, and drive key initiatives that are critical to the success of our business. You'll grow both professionally and personally, learning from leaders in the ed-tech industry and improving your knowledge of dual-sided marketplaces. The work you complete will have a direct impact in the team’s pursuit of improving the customer journey and impacting long-term value for students.
You have a bias for action, you are comfortable taking the lead on a project, working cross-functionally to understand the end-to-end scope of the project. You demonstrate up-to-date expertise in marketing, and a strong willingness to engross yourself into the mindset of Udemy’s student customers. You should demonstrate the ability to write a marketing brief establishing a clear understanding of the business strategy, marketing objective, target customer, customer insight, and desired behavior change. You are also comfortable with presenting and sharing your ideas with Udemy’s leadership team.

Here's what you'll be doing:

    • Leading a project from start to finish; collaborate with key marketing, product, UX, and data science partners to identify the problem and prepare an actionable recommendation. An example of this project may be: map the customer journey and recommend changes to improve the long-term value of a student
    • Collaborating and contributing to other marketing projects related to CRM and promotional strategy
    • Researching Udemy’s student segments, develop hypotheses and recommend promotional and creative tests to be implemented
    • Creating presentations, communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
    • Influencing the strategic direction for engaging Udemy’s customers (students) that lead to better customer satisfaction, engagement, and retention
    • Presenting and marketing your skills to senior executives and the marketing leadership team

We're excited about you because you have:

    • Enrolled as a first-year student in an MBA program
    • 3-5 years of work experience in marketing, project management, and/or research/customer insights (ideally experience with all)
    • Proven project management skills and strong attention to detail
    • Skilled at working cross-functionally, with a demonstrated ability to own and drive a project forward without constant oversight
    • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
    •  The ability to consider and conduct research on different geographies
    • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills; must be comfortable with data analysis
