ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy, Pricing and Promotions, you will lead a team of three, and be responsible for building a long-term global customer acquisition strategy (Udemy is a global learning marketplace with 30 million students across 190 countries, learning in 50 different languages). Primary responsibilities include identifying and targeting customer segments and new monetization opportunities, developing and executing end-to-end marketing plans, partnering with the leads from CRM, Brand, and Channel Marketing teams.
We’re on the search for an experienced and strategic marketer. You have strong individual drive, ability to build a strategy from scratch, and experience managing teams. You’ll act as strategist, executer, and coach. We’re looking for someone who will develop a deep understanding of the Udemy value proposition, research and identify target customers in global markets, and develop go-to-market strategies to reach them. Most importantly, when you are faced with ambiguity, your instinct is to use it as an opportunity to build on.
You are a cross-functional leader and will work seamlessly with Data Science, UXR and external vendors to conduct and own lifecycle and market research to support your work, with product and engineering to build systems to support marketing strategies. You are also comfortable with frequently presenting and sharing your vision with the company in general and with top leadership.
If you are relentlessly rigorous in your analysis, find difficult intellectual problems impossible to resist, and are an excellent and influential leader; if you can balance empathy and efficiency, can build strategies, processes, systems and teams and are hungry to build and own a crucial piece of the revenue-value-chain of a global, rapidly growing business, then this job is for you.
