The Director of Inbound Marketing will optimize the marketing funnel from awareness through close by developing our overall customer acquisition strategy and ensuring it is properly executed across the team. To be successful, you must be comfortable executing marketing campaigns while achieving key metrics such as lead generation and customer acquisition cost goals. You will also need to manage your own deliverables while collaborating with other members of the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a consistent user experience.
This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and will manage a team in our Santa Clara, CA headquarters. The ideal candidate has direct experience optimizing sales funnels, including the proven ability to drive lower customer acquisition cost through A/B testing and continuous process improvement. The Director of Inbound Marketing will have to find the proper balance between strategy development and tactical execution. This is a player/coach role where you will do your own work while also managing your team’s deliverables.


    • Develop and manage the execution of customer acquisition strategy that achieves lead generation targets within customer acquisition cost goal
    • Review analytical reports and metrics in relation to Propel’s established KPI’s and formulate improvements based on collected data
    • Manage and analyze all paid marketing efforts
    • Manage all social media channels
    • Ensure alignment with content marketing efforts
    • Incorporate email, events and trade show efforts with overall acquisition strategy
    • Work closely with Sales team to deliver sales enablement across SDR and AE teams
    • Collaborate closely and often with in-house marketing team
    • Incorporate best practices for Salesforce and marketing automation tools such as Marketo and Hubspot

Desired Skill/Experience

    • 5-8 years of marketing experience in B2B SaaS environment
    • Ability to develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns
    • Direct experience managing digital marketing campaigns and budgets
    • Experience with email and events
    • Experience with early stage VC-backed companies or social media is a plus
    • Understanding of marketing automation tools
    • Desire to collaborate across internal and external teams
    • Ability to hire and build a versatile marketing team
    • Creative and big idea person who can roll up their sleeves and get work done
    • Highly driven and self-motivated, comfortable with autonomy and driving initiatives
    • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
