About the Role
Customer Identity Platform's team mission is to offer the world's most trusted customer account.
We are developing Identity SaaS which can be used by all Uber products as well as by our external partners. A Uber user's account is the most valuable asset, which is used by all our applications and partners. We are responsible for it's lifecycle from creation, authentication and validation.
As a Staff Engineer / TLM on the Customer Identity Mobile Frameworks team your contributions will directly impact the user acquisition, services/applications access, user trust, safety and account security.
You will solve challenging problems on how to enable seamless and secure authentication for our diverse and global user base, from the enterprise users of U4B all the way to non-tech savvy users who have varied devices (smart phones, feature phones, kiosks, integrated vehicle devices etc) as primary access mechanisms. We also need to support diverse Uber applications across the world with unique regional customizations.
You will enable wide access to Uber services by contributing to 'Uber as a Platform' initiative by enabling several 3rd party service providers to integrate with Uber applications by offering seamless account creation and authentication. You will develop mobile SDKs that will be used by several 3rd party applications to offer integrations with Uber.
You will work on eliminating password as an authentication mechanism and eliminate cumbersome signup process by enabling seamless 'single tap' user signup and login with deep integrations in mobile OS and 3rd party applications/services.
The solutions for implicit and continuous authentication along with device side intelligence will help us detect bots and malicious actors and help eliminate account compromise, fake accounts.and fraud.
