At Plaid, our mission is to empower innovators by delivering access to the financial system.
Since 2012 we've helped tens of millions of consumers live a better financial life and over a
thousand customers build a new financial future. Our customers range from startups like Stripe,
Coinbase and Robinhood to Fortune 500 enterprises like American Express and PayPal.
Founded in 2012, Plaid has raised $300M of capital from major venture capital firms such as
Kleiner Perkins, Andreessen Horowitz, Index, Spark and NEA, as well as global financial
institutions such as Goldman Sachs and Citi. But we’re just getting started.
Europe is a global leader on data policy, from PSD2 to GDPR, and a hotbed for fintech innovation.
Plaid is looking for someone to lead our engagement with European governments, policymakers,
consumer groups, trade associations, and think tanks. They will support our growth into a new
market, and help us navigate and contribute to policies that will nourish an ecosystem that allows
consumers to use their financial data to get the products and services they want.
This role requires a strategic thinker and strong communicator who can quickly establish
relationships with policy stakeholders and identify and execute on key objectives. This requires
developing in-depth knowledge of key policymakers, financial institutions, and trade and consumer
groups and maintaining relationships that are critical to advancing Plaid’s policy and business
priorities. This person should also have an aptitude for navigating complex political dynamics and
be confident representing Plaid with external partners. It requires someone who is technically
inclined, who can translate “tech talk” into “policy wonk” and visa versa. This person should be able
to identify new policy or industry relationships that directly relate to Plaid’s business.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We encourage all applicants, regardless of race, religion or belief (if any), colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, gender, gender identity, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, age, marital and civil partnership status, or disability status.
