The role:

Sojern is seeking an experienced business to business sales and marketing professional with demonstrated success in developing, growing and managing a digital advertising business.  Experience in digital advertising is essential; knowledge and marketing contacts within the online travel industry are desirable.

The UK/Ireland Country manager will be responsible for defining the go-to-market strategy in collaboration with the commercial director, Europe. The candidate will also drive the acquisition of new clients as well as the development of Sojern’s existing client base within the UK and Ireland.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic, creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable advertising product solutions and assist in bringing these solutions to market via relevant relationships and superb selling skills. 

The right candidate must have solid management experience, strong analytical skills, presentation and public speaking experience and a strong understanding of programmatic advertising. The candidate will be based in London.

  • Develop a sales strategy for the UK/Ireland region that involves both client direct and agency engagements.

  • Lead the UK/I “pod” to achieve quarterly revenue targets by delivering incremental business from new and existing clients.

  • Leverage the network of existing contacts in either the travel vertical or within key agencies to establish strategic relationships and open doors for new business opportunities. 

  • Drive strategic, commercial initiatives to improve client or agency relationships to accelerate Sojern penetration in the UK/Ireland.

  • Coach and motivate the team of sellers and account managers to deliver commercial excellence.

  • Lead by example, drive cohesion and positive team spirit, excellent work ethic.

  • Analyse, report and work with the regional leadership team to improve products and drive improved efficiencies for the business.

 

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ Years experience in selling multi-faceted, data-driven marketing and digital advertising solutions.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience building and managing sales teams in a fast-paced environment. 

  • A strong network of mid to senior level contacts within marketing departments of key UK/Ireland travel brands and /or top 5 agency groups. Both are a significant plus.

  • Solid understanding of data-driven marketing (performance and branding), advertising technology (DMP, DSP, SSP), Google/Facebook ecosystems, Saas solution.

  • Self-motivated; exhibits strong self-management and sense of urgency.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with a cross-departmental team.

  • Exceptional writing and presentation creation skills.

  • Based in London.
