Description

The Senior Behavioral Scientist will own the scientific integrity of the Torch platform. She/he will develop tools grounded in contemporary psychological science, and with a high degree of validity and reliability. She/he will also consult with C-suite executives at enterprise level organizations to develop custom solutions around their internal developmental models, and will work with internal stakeholders to adapt the torch platform to their needs on a case by case basis. The Senior Behavioral Scientist will play a lead role in the evolution of Torch's platform, and will report to the COO/Head of Product.

Objectives

    • Create valid, reliable leadership assessments that expand client awareness and facilitate growth (e.g., 360 reviews)
    • Work with product team on predictive analytics strategy for identifying developmental traits and patterns that lead to positive outcomes at the individual, team, and organizational levels.
    • Leverage existing data to create infographics, white papers, and other forms of marketing collateral that demonstrate the effectiveness of Torch's approach
    • Consult with customers to create custom solutions to their leadership development challenges

Competencies

    • A Ph.D. in psychology (personality, industrial/organizational, social, or cognitive preferred) or related field from an R1 university
    • Expert fluency in modern statistical methods and tools (e.g., factor analysis, structural equation modeling, item response theory, computer adaptive testing, etc.)
    • At least 5 years relevant business experience, ideally in a consulting capacity
    • A demonstrated interest in leadership development and/or behavior change substantiated by a track record of peer reviewed publications in these areas, ideally as first author
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • A collaborative, humble approach to working with colleagues
    • Leadership/executive coaching experience preferred
