Build an effective go-to-market strategy that drives revenue to meet 2019 goals. Establish Torch as a premium brand and thought leader in the leadership domain.


    • Drive lead generation and customer acquisition through integrated campaigns, content marketing, live events, and social media.
    • Develop a pipeline of leads from significant global brands, through effective mapping of
    • the market and engagement with key decision makers.
    • Experiment and test new concepts related to go-to-market, customer acquisition and market segmentation.
    • Define brand strategy and messaging; position Torch as an elite brand in leadership development.
    • Understand the target customer and enhance their experience of the brand.
    • Establish Torch as a thought leader in the industry by creating and distributing insightful and engaging content.
    • Lead best-in-class content strategy based on customer behavior and market trends, from creation and implementation through measurement and optimization.
    • Identify and incentivize influencer partners to distribute content.
    • Recruit, lead and manage marketing team.
    • Own the tracking and reporting of goals and KPIs to senior leadership.


    • 10+ years in marketing with multiple leadership roles combining performance marketing as well as product marketing experience.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, providing accountability for generating pipeline and leads to impact overall revenue.
    • Ability to make a big impact with small budgets.
    • Equally comfortable as as an IC, manager and leader.
    • Substantial expertise in marketing analytics (e.g., A/B testing, Hubspot, etc.).
    • B2B background required, SaaS background preferred.
    • Coaching experience: Has been a recipient of coaching or currently performing professional services as a coach. If no coaching experience, having received therapy would be a plus.
    • Agile mindset: Familiar with lean startup methodology; able to apply that knowledge to participate in software development and his/her personal leadership development.
    • Healthy performance mindset: Has a strong work ethic and driven to perform at the highest level. Balances physical and mental health in order to perform at such a level and supports healthy performance mindset in others.
    • Scales well: Can help Torch scale from SMB/ to enterprise and scale one’s self as a leader.
    • Expertise and preparation: If not already a coach, be willing to learn the industry. Coaching is by nature a very personal service. As a result, stakeholders will be skeptical of someone who lacks depth of understanding about people, about coaching, and interpersonal dynamics. This person needs to represent the company as a thought leader in the coaching space.
    • Leadership AND management ability: Must be a strong leader AND a strong manager. Great leaders inspire and motivate others. Great managers define objectives, build process/structure and measure performance of their direct reports.
    • Strong belief in the Torch mission: This needs to be a person who is deeply committed to personal growth, embracing mental health, coaching, meditation etc. for the purpose of personal development. Torch is no typical technology company, we are trying to build better leaders through our service. Our head of marketing should be someone who has leveraged such services and experienced the value for themselves and can therefore embody their value.
    • Able to exhibit cultural competence in terms of race, gender, sexual orientation, spirituality and socio-economic backgrounds.
