About the role
Technical Project Manager
Roles & Responsibility
? Organize and coordinate complex releases that comprise of cross-functional teams and a multitude of interrelated and independent application and / or infrastructure changes.
? Plan the sprint schedules and drive their execution with support from Engineering and Product managers.
? Conduct regular scrum meetings and taking updates from all team members.
? Create, monitor and control program release schedules; track and report on program milestones.
? Coordinate and track releases, change, and maintenance activities as well as inter-dependencies.
? Recommend process improvements for release management and launch readiness; at times driving the implementation of these improvements.
? Provide regular reports to track timelines of ongoing projects, delivery risks etc.
? Serve as the key representative in all communication, and decision-making forums/discussions (i.e. Release schedules UAT Reviews, Post Release Notes, etc…)
? Serve as an escalation point for all issues and questions raised by internal and external customers such solutions, delivery, customer success teams.
? Prioritize day-day customer related tasks for a small group of developers
? Standardize and enforce Change, Release and Configuration Management process flow.
Desired Skills & Experience
? Bachelor’s degree required i.e. BE/ BTech in any discipline.
? 5+ years of experience in the software industry either in product development or IT consulting.
? 2+ years of experience in Project/Program Management
? Prior experience in hands on development or QA would be an added plus.
? Strong understanding of software development methodologies like Scrum/Agile, Kanban.
? Proficiency with ticketing/task management tools like Jira, Redmine, Bugzilla, Trello etc.
? Ability to understand business/product requirements and prioritize day-day tasks for a small group of developers.
? Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and driving cross functional projects.
? PMP certification is a added plus.
