About the Role

We're looking for a brilliant product leader who can help us develop deep empathy for our users. We want someone with a passion for connecting the digital and physical worlds, and experience reducing seemingly-overwhelming challenges into elegant product solutions. This role reports to the Head of Product at ATG and will have significant impact and visibility in bringing self-driving technology to the market.

As a Group Product Manager for Trips Products at ATG, you'll grow and lead a team of Product Managers to deliver products and services required for self-driving trips. This includes the end to end Rider experience, Rider facing applications, and background trip logic including controlling & optimizing the supply. You'll internalize and deeply understand Uber's mission and strategies, and distill insight to generate actionable product objectives and initiatives for your teams.

What You'll Do

  • Own Trips Products for Uber ATG
  • Build and manage an expert team of Product Managers
  • Set the vision for all technologies and processes needed for connecting Riders with a mixed fleet of self-driving vehicles, including routing, dispatch, and rider experience
  • Beyond software, establish necessary requirements for taking trips in a self-driving vehicle from a hardware and service design perspective
  • Collaborate with the Go To Market team on the design of Trip Experiences
  • Manage product development roadmap with engineering team in alignment with upcoming car product milestones
  • Create and execute a vision for a consistent, high quality and safe trip experience across first-party and third- party vehicles

What You'll Need

10 minimum years of experience with the following:

  • Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with Uber internal stakeholders, including the engineering, operations, testing legal, and policy teams to ensure that our technology supports Uber's business objectives Demonstrated ability to lead and execute multiple cross-functional projects Fosters collaboration within and across teams
  • Technical Aptitude - Understanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable applications Technical skills, you have shipped many products in your career and can inform and evaluate the implications of engineering decisions Computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent plus hands-on software engineering experience
