Marketing Operations Budget Manager

This role is responsible for the efficient and effective governing of the US/C marketing planning process as well as the most productive use of our resources while ensuring the right tools, processes & governance models are in place to deliver high-quality work on budget.

What you'll do:

  • ROI measurement of US&C non working budget
  • Key partner to head of marketing and finance team on management of investment spend
  • Design and develop a budget and financial management framework for the US&C marketing organization
  • Partnering with the Marketing Operations Network to align US&C priorities & spend to global initiatives and priorities
  • Support annual planning process to include: managing budget formulation process; reviewing and approving all budget estimates submitted by US&C Marketing Leads; presenting the annual budget to US&C Marketing Leadership and Finance
  • Work alongside Marketing Department Heads to monitor teams' target budgets, analyze spend, and provide strategic input on opportunities to leverage efficient spend
  • Develop and manage all tools, templates, and processes for US&C financial management
  • Document and maintain financial policies for US&C marketing
  • Manage timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of budgetary information for Marketing leadership
  • Facilitate monthly budget processes to include status of actuals and measure budget-to-actuals across project portfolio
  • Work alongside head of marketing to authorize and account for change orders, budget transfers, budget approvals
  • Manage project budget close-out process; Review actual spend against budget and actual investment against business case objectives to assess ROI

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years experience in a financial role
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • A history in accounting, financial services, or similar role
  • Experience in operations developing and scaling efficient and effective processes
  • An energy giver with a positive outlook and the ability to influence the direct team, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions
  • An understanding of complex marketing organizations
  • A natural team player, with a strong track record of cross-functional leadership and partnership
  • A passion for creating structure and overcoming organizational inertia
  • Very strong analytical skills with the ability to promptly establish priorities and communicate expectationsHigh emotional intelligence and empathy
