Position Overview
As a Director of Design, you will lead a team of product and visual designers and employ design thinking as a guiding principle and work – together with the team – with users, product managers, engineers, marketing, and other constituents across Exabeam and its ecosystem. The UX team plays a key role in the development and delivery of delightful, end-to-end user experiences.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a user-centric view into our solutions and a passion for creating high-impact user experiences at scale. You will bring the smarts of a product manager to understand prioritization and how to measure outcomes. In return, you will work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, dynamic environment in a high growth, cyber security organization.
Our Team 
The design team is made up of product and visual designers who work hand in hand with their peers in product management and engineering to build Exabeam products. Our team members combine great visual sense with a deep understanding of the subtle nuance that makes a complex product feel simple and intuitive. 


    • A great eye for detail, demonstrate creative and innovative problem solving and possess excellent leadership abilities
    • Work closely with the Design and Product Teams to drive the creation and refinement of product designs
    • Prioritize and coordinate design deliverables - help define scope, schedule design tasks and meet milestone demands
    • Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, and prototypes
    • Enthusiasm and history working in an iterative design process, motivated by group critique
    • Experience in designing from start to finish including the development process
    • Manage, lead and mentor other Designers in their projects
    • Facilitate and lead conversations with customers and other experts internally within the organization
    • Provide guidance to product managers and designers on their research initiatives, i.e. usability studies, A/B testing and feature-focused customer interviews
    • Conduct individual research (exploratory, generative, and evaluative)
    • Review and improve the designs from the design team
    • Develop guidelines or best practices for designing customer journeys (continuously update playbook)
    • Understand and engage with customers and other stakeholders on comprehensive set of topics, including strategy, roadmaps, and user journey performance
    • Collaborate with a team comprised of product managers, architects, engineers, and key customer contacts to bring new products to market
    • Partner with Product Management to integrate and prioritize UX requirements into product roadmaps


    • BS degree in a business discipline or Computer Science, Information Systems, HCA or equivalent experience required
    • 7+ years of applied UX/UI design experience and 3+ years of design leadership and managing teams
    • Highly skilled in Sketch, Keynote and other design tools
    • Experience in design-thinking or other structured innovation methodologies
    • Strong user experience (UX/CX)/design sense, with a record of building great products
    • Ability to think like a customer and see our experiences through a user-centric view
    • Proven ability to set up the right systems, tools, processes and guidelines to scale a superior UX design across a large engineering team and product set
    • Well-developed strategic-thinking skills, with the ability to excite and lead others in a highly collaborative environment
    • Sense of urgency with disposition to execute and a demonstrated career of successful program implementations
    • Hands-on capabilities, and proven experience in gathering and transforming user experiencesTop notch written, visual and oral communication skills
