Associate Manager, Artist Content & Education at Minted

Reporting to the Director of Artist Relations, the Associate Manager of Artist Content & Education will help Minted become the premier destination for independent artists to learn, grow, and build their business and brand. You will develop content, communications, and online and offline educational programming for our independent artist community. You will also help build and champion our writing community, which is the newest addition to our creative community.
 
This role is ideal for an excellent writer and content producer who is passionate about helping creative people learn, grow, and transform their creative visions into commercial success.

You will:

    • Consistently execute on Minted’s overarching content strategy and framework, including creating recurring newsletters, online content series, processes, and content delivery that will engage, educate, entertain, and inspire our diverse community of thousands of independent artists, designers, and writers from around the world
    • Partner with the SVP and Director of Artist Relations to hone Minted’s artist-facing voice and ensure consistency across our communications
    • Partner with the Brand and Marketing teams to create and share stories about our independent artists to be used in consumer marketing, providing exposure and recognition for our artists and helping customers learn about the artists behind our products
    • Help attract fresh new creative talent to Minted by developing onboarding resources and content that help new members of our community participate in our design challenges and connect with other members of our community
    • Create educational programs and opportunities that help our artist community become more commercially successful, build their artistic and business skills, and engage in peer critique during challenges
    • Partner with Community Support and Engagement team members to create and edit broad communications and customize artist communications for each segment of our community (i.e., graphic designers, fine artists, writers, photographers, etc.)
    • Help scale our Artist Relations function to serve a much larger and more diverse creative community, including creatives who represent a broader range of artistic disciplines and global and non-English speaking artists

You are:

    • Able to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to ensure every artist has a great experience with Minted, which involves working with cross-functional teams and sometimes making fast decisions and executing tasks quickly
    • Interactive with creatives and have excellent interpersonal skills and good judgement which enable you to build trust with Minted artists and other teams at Minted
    • Careful about the small details in crafting artist communications and delivering messages
    • A “creative whisperer” who understands how to make technical, financial, quantitative, or creative topics understandable and actionable for a creative audience
    • Able to communicate and summarize data and feedback in a compelling way and you have the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
    • An exceptional, versatile writer who can write clear, succinct instructional pieces, entertaining longer-form pieces, or punchy marketing copy
    • A mission-oriented person who enjoys making the world a more creative and fun place

You have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree (required), preferably in English, journalism, or writing
    • 3-5 years of work experience with extensive editorial or writing experience
    • Online production skills (HTML, blogging, Adobe Creative Suite) as well as familiarity with mass email systems (Sailthru)
    • A passion for the arts, including a deep understanding of artists, designers, and other creative types
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Impeccable follow-through and are extremely detail and process-oriented, balancing short-term and long-term needs
