About the Role

The Reliability & Test Engineer, Mechanical position will provide the New Mobility / JUMP teams with qualitative and quantitative data relating to reliability, durability, environmental and stress test execution results to ensure both robust validation of new product development as well as ensuring ongoing improvements to current products. This will enable the design engineering and program management teams to make informed decisions on changes to all new mobility products. The role will also be responsible for managing test issues through to closure through supporting the analysis process, providing input to solutions, and defining revalidation steps.

What You'll Do

  • The candidate's primary role will involve:

    • Defining robust test methods to ensure good correlation with field experience, and meaningful results.
    • Establish in house test execution, or work with external test houses or suppliers to ensure the tests are run to a defined standard.
    • Manage the execution of testing (in some cases first hand) and ensure the results and concerns that arise from testing are reporting to a standard that enables engineering to establish root cause failure and robust solutions.
    • Give guidance for testing and revalidation methods for engineering solutions.
    • Manage the concerns process through to closure.
    • Work within timing and budget constraints in a dynamic and flexible environment.
