Manager, Inventory Control and Logistics

World View is looking to hire an experienced Manager for Inventory Control and Logistics who will play a key role in developing the World View Inventory Strategy, Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP implementation, creation and setup of physical inventory locations and day to day management of inventory and logistics transactions both internal and external.



Summary of Essential Job Functions

Support ERP implementation as it relates to supply chain and inventory functions across the product value stream.

Develop and implement physical warehouse locations at WV headquarters and around the world.

Ensure the execution of inventory transaction records including raw material, purchase order receipts, shop order receipts, and finished goods movement and shipment.

Monitor material variances to identify waste or inefficient practices in the manufacturing process; recommend appropriate solutions and investigate inventory variances.

Ensure data accuracy for parts, bills of material, standard costs, and inventory.

Develop, document, and train on transactional processes and auditing processes

Oversee, facilitate, and maintain formal audits of inventory, planning data, bill of material, and inventory/production costs.

Support periodic cycle count activities in conjunction with finance and accounting.

Manage purchasing where appropriate and optimize inventory levels for production, development and operations for both direct and indirect materials.

Identify production requirements, establish and communicate production schedules, and record production activities including labor, material, and finished goods reporting for supply chain team.

Develop internal material movement solutions in conjunction with manufacturing engineering and production teams to ensure safe movement and storage of material and complete hardware.

Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness; lead the facility in safe and efficient operation of all equipment

Maintains inventory and logistics staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Maintains inventory and logistics staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing the inventory and logistics budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements



ERP/MRP/WMS experience in a manufacturing environment

ISO9100 / AS9100 experience.

Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software/programs as opportunities or department needs arise.

Strong Understanding of Manufacturing and supply chain Workflow Systems.

Highly effective and professional verbal and written communication skills with team, internal customers and suppliers that includes a strong focus on teamwork and internal/external customer satisfaction.




People Management

Ability to analyze and interpret information for informed decision making

Promoting Process Improvement, Development of Standards

Problem-Solving skills

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and other ERP/QMS tools applied in a manufacturing environment.

Lean/Six Sigma experience is preferred.
