Our Trust & Safety team is responsible for the prevention and empathetic resolution of any safety or security issues that may arise from visitors to our homes.  As the Home Security Program Manager, you are a quantitatively driven, detail focused and business-savvy person who can craft and execute our strategy to help secure our homes. You’ll help develop innovative solutions and play a meaningful role working cross-functionally to build programs that help secure our homes to enhance trust, enable business growth and protect the Opendoor brand.

Responsibilities:

      • Develop and lead the execution of a home security strategy 
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive concepts to high impact solutions
      • Build and implement policies to identify higher risk homes and deter bad actors
      • Communicate and report overall status, primary metrics, key issues and solution plans to senior management
      • Explore, evaluate, integrate, and maintain partnerships with external patrol companies
      • Work closely with Product and Engineering team to assess new solutions (e.g., security systems, sensors, etc). 
      • Responsible for the design, development and management of rules and models directly and in collaboration with relevant teams
      • Establish business cases and projected ROI for opportunities to improve performance; leverage analysis to prioritize opportunities
 

Basic Qualifications:

      • 8+ years of experience in risk, trust, fraud or security policy roles
      • Success in running complex and multi-faceted programs from concept to completion
      • Extreme focus on data and analytics to solve problems and have a track record of driving results through continuous improvement
      • History of effectively working with multiple teams to build new capability and implement projects
      • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities across multiple simultaneous projects
      • Excellent time management skills & written and verbal communication
      • Willingness to hustle and a “get it done” attitude
 

Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in SQL, SAS, R, Python or other programming language to query data and perform analysis a plus
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
      • Experience with patrol companies
      • Knowledge of home security systems and software
