Opendoor’s Learning & Development team is looking for a team member to fill the critical role of Manager Trainer.  This role will focus on the needs of all managers across all segments of the business. This role is based in Phoenix.

Responsibilities:

    • Own the training and development of all of Opendoor’s managers.
    • Build and deploy a leadership development program to build our bench of future leaders.
    • Partner with People Business Partners and Senior level leadership to identify development gaps and put together training solutions to improve manager performance.
    • Deliver monthly training sessions for managers.
    • Meet 1:1 with managers for personalized coaching sessions.
    • Own the L&D Slack channel for managers and push out valuable articles, podcasts, etc.
    • Schedule and facilitate a regular cadence of new manager training.
    • Design and development engaging learning experiences by tapping into different learning styles.
    • Ensure content remains up to date with a regular cadence of QA.
    • Create training materials that are on brand and create a consistent Opendoor learning experience.
    • Drive change by suggesting new and creative approaches to deliver content to learners.

We're looking for teammates who bring:

    • Proven history of excellent time management and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated history of successfully coaching and developing managers and leaders.
    • Model for positive energy and ability to “be on stage” engaging an audience.  
    • Dynamic delivery style to leverage video conference as one mode of training delivery.
    • Strong project management experience with the ability to lead projects efficiently and effectively, adjust quickly to changing priorities and continue to deliver measurable outcomes.
    • Meaningful experience developing strategic learning solutions.
    • Able to effectively communicate up, down, and sideways in the organization.
    • Relevant experience gaining consensus with business partners and communicating recommended solutions.
    • Proven habit of proactively communicating status of deadlines, blockers or challenges, and what is needed to hit deliverables.
    • Growth mindset and demonstrated ability to absorb and implement feedback.
    • Ability and willingness to travel to other hub markets periodically.
